You provide cleaning products and equipment
You provide the cleaning products and equipment for the cleaner to use which means you get to choose what products are used on your home. We do not allow bleach products, however. This saves you money as cleaning companies like Molly Maid or Daily Poppins charge a huge surcharge to provide the cleaning products and equipment for you. Also, as you provide your own vacucum cleaner you do not get cross-contamination of pet hair etc from other people's homes.
We are affordable
We offer some of the best house cleaning and office cleaning prices available in Oxford, Abingdon and surrounding areas, with a 2 hour minimum visit time for both our weekly or fortnightly service. (Or 2.5 hours minimum visit time for cleaning & ironing combined.)
Stringent vetting procedures
We obtain two excellent references for our home cleaners as well as proof of ID, proof of address, and proof of the right to work in the UK (if applicable). All of our cleaners speak English so that you can communicate with eachother. We take the selection process very seriously, the cleaners who make it onto our database are carefully selected and must come across well when interviewed.
Insurance provision
We have employer's, public and product liability insurance. There is an excess of £250 that you would be responsible for, this is so we can keep our prices low.
Trial cleaning session
We do a trial cleaning session where you can try the cleaner out before you commit. The cleaner is also trying out your home to see if it is a good fit for her. This is where you have an opportunity to meet each other, and briefly discuss the cleaning work and hours and have a trial clean for a set number of hours.Please note that this is not a free session, it is charged at the same hourly rate as our regular sessions.

English speaking
At Thomson Cleaning, we value diversity and our cleaners are a broad range of nationalities: Brazilian, Polish, Romanian, Italian, Nigerian, Kenyan, Croatian and British to give some examples. However, all of our cleaners speak English to help with ease of communication between you and them and us.
Sick cover & holiday cover
If your cleaner cannot attend a session she or he will contact you directly to let you know. The cleaner & will offer you an alternative day & time if she or he is able to. If the cleaner cannot, you can contact us to request a stand-in cleaner or a refund of the agency fee for that session.
No long-term contracts
We have a 14 day cooling off period after signing the contract, then a 1 month notice period to cancel. (Whereas most cleaner introduction services in Oxford and across the UK have a 3 month min. initial signup period).
